CET was founded in 1976 to research, develop, demonstrate, and promote technologies with the least disruptive impact on the environment. Issues CET deals with include energy and resource conservation, solid waste management, indoor air quality, and sustainable development. CET works with WasteCap to coordinate the Massachusetts Buy Recycled Business Alliance in Western Massachusetts.
